ACC Football Week Four: Tar Heel Blog Staff Predictions

The Tar Heel Blog staff picks their winners for the Battle for the Bell and other ACC games this week.

Although it is not even officially fall yet, the North Carolina Tar Heels are preparing to take on the Duke Blue Devils at Kenan Memorial Stadium on Saturday in the Battle for the Victory Bell. It’s a bit weird that it is happening so early in the season, but alas.

Per usual, I asked the Tar Heel Blog staff to make their bets on which ACC teams would emerge victorious this week. I also totally didn’t threaten to send them packing if any of them dared to pick Duke. Definitely didn’t do that. Not at all.

Here’s how everyone chose complete with their records coming into the week:

As you can see, Jason and Matt narrowly lead the way in the standings so far. A number of writers (including yours truly) went a perfect 10 for 10 in last week’s predictions, but can they be equally successful this time around?

Amazing that everyone picked the Tar Heels to win completely on their own volition! Boise State over UVA, Virginia Tech over Old Dominion, Clemson over Boston College, Louisville over Kent State, and Miami over Toledo were the other unanimous picks. Kyle definitely picked NC State to beat FSU for one of two reasons: 1. He’s strategically trying to pick up a win 2. He’s an embedded State mole. Let’s hope it’s #1.

So how do you think things will shake out in the ACC this week? Feel free to leave your own predictions in the comments below!
