North Carolina’s road trip to Tallahassee and Charlottesville was brutal. No two ways about that. Fortunately for the Tar Heels, the tough ACC slate eases up just slightly as they return home for one game against Boston College.

These Eagles aren’t the pushovers BC teams of recent past have been. This team knocked off Duke and nearly beat Virginia as well. If Carolina is going to pick up their second ACC win, they are going to have to contain Ky Bowman and company in the Dean Dome. Bowman was a problem the last time these two teams met, even though the Heels were able to emerge victorious.

For UNC, they have to get right. Luke Maye has struggled since a rough game against Wofford and the Baby Bigs trio of Garrison Brooks, Sterling Manley, and Brandon Huffman are currently looking like the worst-case scenario versions of themselves. Carolina absolutely has the talent to right the ship and handle the Eagles, but they can’t do it turning the ball over nearly 20 times the way they did against Virginia.

If Maye can turn the corner, the bigs can give quality minutes, and the team as a whole can protect the basketball, the Heels should be able to get back to their winning ways. Hopefully that ends up being the case.

We’ll be back after the game, as always, with a complete roundup. Until then...

Go Heels!
