ACC Football: Week 7 Staff Predictions

Just missed another hurricane game.

Weeks after Hurricane Florence submerged much of North Carolina in floodwater, the remnants of Hurricane Michael are presently dropping upwards of five inches of rain on the already overly water-logged state. It’s fitting, in a way, that Virginia Tech is set to be in Chapel Hill this weekend. The last time the Tar Heels and the Hokies met in Kenan Stadium was a disastrous outing in the middle of Hurricane Matthew.

In all seriousness, we hope that you and your family stay safe and dry during the storm. We know that no one needs the rain right now.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your position), the rain is supposed to move out of the area well in advance of Saturday’s prime time meeting under the lights in Kenan. Will the results go any better for UNC this time around? Ehhhhhhhh.

As always, we asked the staff to predict the outcomes of the ACC games on the schedule this week. Here’s what they came up with:

There is an abundance of agreement this week with the Miami/Virginia, Notre Dame/Pitt, and Louisville/Boston College games all having unanimous results. Blessed are those who keep the faith in the times of trouble, so shoutout to Evan and Jake for believing in the Tar Heels this week.

As you can see from our leaderboard, Brandon still leads us all with a sparking 56-6 record. We are not worthy of his predicting skills. Jacob is the only other one to reach the 50-win plateau so far.
