Word on the street is that Cade Fortin suffered an injury in last week’s loss against Virginia Tech. Fortin looked the part of a sizeable upgrade at quarterback for the Tar Heels, but it’s very possible that now he’ll be joining Chazz Surratt on the bench.
If those rumors are true, Nathan Elliott will be back at quarterback when the Heels take on the Orange in Syracuse. Elliott didn’t look as good as Fortin did against the Hokies, but he wasn’t a disaster either. Hopefully he can keep some of that rolling. Or Larry Fedora can realize that Anthony Ratliff-Williams is the best quarterback on the team and try to roll with that instead. Let’s get crazy.
Syracuse is a winnable game if UNC plays the way they did against Virginia Tech last week. Unfortunately, this team has kind of played down more than once this season. Here’s hoping they manage to keep that same energy this week as they had last week with an even better result, hopefully.
We’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then, as always...
Go Heels!
