Coming off of a tough loss against Texas just last night, the North Carolina Tar Heels will look to take out their frustrations against the UCLA Bruins. The Bruins are coming off of a beating that they suffered at the hands of Michigan State, and so they themselves will be looking to find some way to leave Vegas with a win.
There will be quite a a few storylines going into this game. The first one being whether or not Coby White will carry over the momentum he generated last night from his career night, and yet still find a way to get his teammates involved more in the game. With that, however, there is also the question as to whether or not he will get the help that will be needed if the Heels want any hopes of coming away with a victory.
Then, of course, there are the parts that had no resemblance of being a positive last night: defense and turnovers. Texas was able to get any and everything that they wanted for most of the game, and it will be up to UNC to make sure that they do not let UCLA kill them via dribble penetration all afternoon. Garrison Brooks and Sterling Manley will need to stay out of foul trouble in order for that to happen, and so hopefully the big men can play smart, yet physical basketball. As far as turnovers go, not a lot needs to be said, right? Take care of the ball, and it limits opportunities for the Bruins to run away with things. Simple as that.
As always, we will be back with you following the game with our post-game analysis.
Go Heels!
