Coming off a disappointing loss to Kentucky, the Tar Heels have a chance to get back in the win column when they take on Davidson Saturday afternoon. After a very tough stretch of non-conference play, it might be easy to look past the Wildcats as some kind of gimme, but UNC fell into that trap against Wofford last season. They’d be smart to not overlook Davidson in this instance.
The Wildcats were victorious their last time out in a game against Division II Central Pennsylvania College. Prior to that, they’d dropped consecutive games to Wake Forest and Temple. While Carolina comes into the game averaging 92 points per game, Davidson has averaged just 76. We all know that the Tar Heels have had little issue offensively all season which could be difficult for the Wildcats to contain for 40 minutes.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
