UNC vs. UNCW: How to Watch

Can the Tar Heels get back on track?

NCAA Basketball: North Carolina at Michigan Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Last time we saw the Tar Heels on the court, they struggled on both ends of the floor in an ugly loss to Michigan. Since then, they’ve gotten six days off and probably some tough practices.

Tonight, UNC will play their first game since then when they take on former Carolina assistant C.B. McGrath and his UNCW team. The Seahawks are off to a 4-5 start this season, taking a six-point loss to Davidson in their most recent game on Saturday. The Tar Heels are the toughest team UNCW will have faced up to this point, as their only other power conference opponent thus far has been Stanford.

While they’ll get 10 days off after tonight’s game, the rest of December’s schedule is pretty tough. This game might not teach us anything we don’t know about UNC, but it will be a chance to get back on the right foot. Considering that there are Gonzaga and Kentucky games and a tough ACC slate ahead of them, picking up a comfortable win tonight would be more than welcome.
