For many outside of the UNC bubble, it will be remembered as one of the greatest National Championship games of all time. For North Carolina fans, it was a night of pain, sorrow, and at that particular time, a realization that there may not be another opportunity anytime soon. Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson were both graduating and Justin Jackson was testing the NBA waters. The future didn’t look great, and fortunately for Tar Heel fans, there was redemption the very next season against Gonzaga.
While many fans watched the game from the comfort of their own homes, there were plenty of Tar Heel faithfuls in Houston the night that K*** J****** ripped out all of our hearts, and had to witness the confetti fall in the wrong shade of blue. If you attended the game in Houston and happen to live in the New York City area, we want to hear from you.
This game is one of a handful getting attention from Vox Media for an upcoming project, and they would like to hear your side of the story about one of the best college basketball games in recent memory. SB Nation would like to record your story on February 19th, so please send us an e-mail as soon as possible so that they can reach out to you with further details. Any participants will be compensated for their time. If you are interested in helping out, please e-mail us at college@sbnation.com.
