If you can’t escape to the beach, you might as well read about some folks playing baseball there. Welcome to your weekly update checking in on the Tar Heels that are spending their summer slinging wooden bats.
A little bad news this week, as the CCL All-Stars were announced, no Tar Heels made the cut. It’s not for lack of talent, but time. One of the side effects of having a long NCAA run is that the players join these teams late in the season, and really don’t have enough time to earn All-Star appearance. They are still making waves, though:
FINAL: Anglers 5, Braves 3. Chatham completes the season sweep behind the success of two @DiamondHeels —Michael Busch hit a two-run homer in the first and Austin Bergner struck out eight in 5.2 innings.
