The Dean Smith Center has a new addition, and it’s a beautiful sight.

This weekend, current and former UNC basketball players are all in Chapel Hill for a two-day reunion event. UNC’s twitter tweeted pictures from the event tonight, revealing that players such as Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, and Phil Ford have made their way to campus.

The Carolina family congregated at the Dean Smith Center tonight for the unveiling of Roy Williams Court. Ever since the announcement weeks ago, we have all eagerly awaited to see what the newest addition to the house that Dean built would look like. Thankfully, UNC basketball’s twitter handle was gracious enough to tweet out video of Carol Folt introducing what we’ve all been waiting for:

Simply put: the logo dedicating the court to Roy Williams looks beautiful. Then again, it’s easy for it to look beautiful when Roy has such a perfect signature. It’s hard to imagine a better choice for the design, and it will be exciting to get to see this during every UNC game from this point forward.

Not long after releasing the unveiling video, UNC’s twitter also released a video of all of the hard work it took to create such a beautiful logo:

We at THB would like to congratulate Roy Williams for all of his hard work, dedication, and memories that he has brought to this program. The honor was greatly deserved, and I personally can’t wait to see the team play on Roy Williams Court for the first time.
