Dear Bubba,

I hope this finds you and your friends and family well.
3-9 was tough, I know that season was hell.
Overall I understand and I’m feeling fine.
We had 19 season-ending injuries, and a MASH unit O-line.

Anyway, I wanted you to know I still support the program.
You got the NCAA off our back, so glad we’re past that sham.
Glad we have basketball to look forward to, how do you think we’ll do?
After last year, I don’t care, just proud of that Carolina Blue.

But football is my first love, and I’ll see you at Cal.
I’m hoping that we can connect, and we can be pen pals.
I’m renewing season tickets, next year I’m getting six.
Looking forward to a healthy team, I know its gonna be sick.

I’m holding out hope for brighter days ahead.
We’re gonna take the Coastal out behind the woodshed.
Knowing what we went through this year, it can’t be that bad.

Bubba,

Nice to see you at the Rams Club event today.
You didn’t recognize me when I introduced myself, so I walked away.
I thought you’d be a little bit taller in person.
I also thought last season’s results wouldn’t worsen.

All me and dad could do was sit in the seats and laugh.
Do you think its possible that the HUNH is maybe no longer novel?
Its harder in this economy to pay to watch this team wobble.

I was already concerned with Larry’s thoughts on CTE.
After watching today’s game I wonder if he has the brain injury.
I’ll always support our players, but sometimes he makes it harder.
I can see why he was hesitant to name a quarterback starter.

Any, its week 1, things happen least we covered the spread.
We’ll get the Pirates next week and then start to turn some heads.
I’m a little concerned, but want a little ROI.
