Hello everyone! I hope that all of you managed to stay safe during Hurricane Florence. It was a bummer to miss out on some football this past weekend, yes, but that isn’t nearly as important as the safety and welfare of all of the people in this great state. Now that the weather is getting better, we can look forward to this weekend as UNC hosts their first home game against the Pitt Panthers. Also, a new week also means a new update in this week’s predictions standings.
I am currently holding onto first place in the standings, and I am sure that my being highly critical of this year’s version of the Tar Heels has at least a little bit to do with that. I’d love for UNC to be 3-0 right now, but I think we all know that this is a frustrating season so far to say the least. Also, I’m very competitive, so there is that as well. Spoiler alert: I don’t have much hope for the game this weekend either. Judge me if you will, I completely understand. I’m just being honest.
Directly behind me Is Joe, Matt, and Jacob tied with 30 correct picks. Things will get interesting this week, as the staff is torn on Notre Dame’s matchup against Wake, and Louisville taking on Virginia. Another pick worth noting for this week: Jake is doing the admirable thing and is opting to not pick a team at all in the Duke game. No matter what, he’s the real MVP.

Let’s hope that I take at least one loss this week in the Pitt vs. UNC pick. There are very few times when it is actually fine being proven wrong, and the Heels proving me wrong is something I am a huge fan of (as long as it’s in a good way).
I hope everyone enjoys their week, and if you are traveling at all please be careful. It is still unsafe in a lot of areas, and depending on where you’re coming from the risk isn’t worth it. Go Heels!
