UNC Basketball: Pitt Game Thread

ACC play is here!

NCAA Basketball: Harvard at North Carolina Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

The wait for conference play is over. Whether you’ve either been enjoying UNC playing teams from here and there for the better part of three months, or you’ve been anxiously awaiting the meat and potatoes of the basketball season, it has arrived.

Carolina is on the road for their conference opener against Pittsburgh. It’s Cameron Johnson’s first game back at his former school since the graduate transfer decided to finish out his final two years in Chapel Hill.

The Tar Heels seemed a bit improved in their final two games of the non-conference slate. Hopefully that carries over into conference play starting today. Limiting turnovers, having Coby White play facilitator as well as he did against Davidson and Harvard, and keeping Garrison Brooks out of early foul trouble will be things to keep an eye on today.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
