Host Chad Floyd (@Chad_Floyd) is back with Jacob Cowden (@jacobcowden28), as the guys finally had a chance to re-watch the Tar Heels’ heartbreaking loss to Clemson. You know what that means— its time to get a little more granular!
Discussed:
- #WellActually the two-point conversion play call was good! What leads us to this conclusion, were the Heels setting it up early in the game, and what would we have done differently?
- Appreciation for Greg McIlroy making the point about how injured the Heels are.
- More appreciation for the evolution of Sam Howell, the route-running of Dyami Brown, and the monsters at running back. Also, Jacob’s undying love for Marcus McKethian.
- OH MY GOODNESS THE DEFENSE. Big ups to the linebackers, who played the best game by any position group on the year.
- Why did the linebackers play so well? Some new wrinkles by Jay Bateman to free them up. We might finally understand some of the nuances of his defense. (Side note: make him HCIW now.)
Enjoy!
