ACC Football Week 7: Staff Predictions

The Tar Heel Blog staff predicts the outcomes of ACC Football this week, even with UNC on a bye.

UNC’s football team may have the week off, but our team of pickers is still here to bring you picks. We thought last week was an easy week, on paper, but it turned out to be anything but. No one saw Virginia Tech beating Miami and very few thought Louisville would beat Boston College. Alas, our standings have changed a bit as a result of those results.

Chad and Quintin have taken a one-game lead on the field after Evan has been out in front all season to this point. Still, Evan is just one game behind them. Akil, Jake, and yours truly are still in the hunt with 44 correct predictions to this point.

Let’s check out this week’s picks.

Our staff is divided on Syracuse and NC State with a couple more writers believing in the Orange than the Wolfpack. Most of us believe that Virginia will take down Miami on the road, but a few valiant souls still believe in the Hurricanes despite last week’s loss.

Unfortunately, three of the games are pretty much gimmes. I mean, I guess anything can happen, but it’s extremely unlikely. That leaves just two dissenters picking Louisville over Wake Forest for any variety.

Let us know what you think of our UNC-less picks in the comments below.
