On Sunday Night, Mack Brown was able to add another name to his 2020 commitment list, that of Caden Baker. Baker is a three star Offensive Tackle via both ESPN and 24/7, and is out of the Fort Myers, Florida area.
Baker has a ton a talent, and his resume is outlined in this great profile done by his home town paper. He has been a highly sought after recruit, as reports had him having at least fifteen different offers from schools all around the country, including multiple ACC Schools in Boston College, Syracuse, and Miami. He’s the 71st ranked offensive tackle in the country by 24/7, and the 100th best overall prospect in the state of Florida.
Baker joins Trey Zimmerman and Malik McGowan as offensive line recruits coming to Chapel Hill, and brings the number of commitments to 25 in the 2020 class. Thanks to how thin the previous classes have been, Mack Brown should still have a couple of scholarships to work as up to five in this class can count towards the class of 2019 if they enroll early.
Baker is only the second commitment from the state of Florida to come to Chapel Hill in the 2020 class, as the staff has prioritized sealing up the state of North Carolina. Baker’s potential makes this a great get, and should be a welcome addition to an offensive line that’ll need some depth.
