UNC vs Georgia Tech: Tar Heels look to get back on track in Atlanta

UNC tries to get back in the win column.

NCAA Football: Appalachian State at North Carolina James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

It has been a few weeks since the Tar Heels emerged from a game with a win. All the games were pretty close calls, but the team wasn’t able to find a way to get over that last hump. They’ll have a chance to turn things around starting today in Atlanta against Georgia Tech.

The next few games are extremely favorable for UNC. They can’t look at them as guaranteed wins by any means, but they are games that are definitely winnable when comparing the two teams on paper. 5-3 at the end of the stretch would look pretty good to anyone who has followed the Carolina program over the last few seasons.

While UNC was playing the defending national champions down to the wire last weekend in Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech was struggling against Temple. They scored just two points in the contest. Hopefully that means good things ahead for the Heels today.

If you’re not heading to Atlanta this afternoon, feel free to comment along here in our game thread. As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
