UNC Football: Can the Tar Heels take care of business as underdogs at Pitt?

One thing we’ve been able to count on as Carolina fans the last few seasons, even in the darkest times, is that UNC football would beat Pittsburgh. It was a comforting, yet weird, glimmer of hope in a sea of disappointment.

We’ll see if Mack Brown has the same kind of voodoo magic when it comes to the Panthers tonight when the Tar Heels head north to take on Pitt at Heinz Field. UNC comes into the game as underdogs, but they need a win in at least two of their final games in order to make it to a bowl game this season.

The Heels have only won one of their true road games this season when they picked up a win in Atlanta against Georgia Tech. They lost on the road at Wake Forest and at Virginia Tech, of course. Hopefully that is something that doesn’t hold true tonight (or in two weeks in Raleigh).

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
