After managing to put away Alabama yesterday in the opening round of the Battle 4 Atlantis, the Tar Heels have advanced to the semifinal round to take on the Michigan. The Wolverines took down Iowa State in their opening game behind Isaiah Livers’ team-high 17 points, and as a team they shot a blistering 47.6% from behind the arc. Needless to say that Carolina will have their hands full in this game, and they’ll have to figure out a way to keep feeding Garrison Brooks and Armando Bacot down low to make up for their inefficiencies from the perimeter.
The biggest question in this game will be if Cole Anthony will be able to have a better performance than he did yesterday. The freshman star was 4-13 from the field and picked up 4 fouls in the game, and seemed more and more frustrated as the game went on. He’ll have to find some poise and find a way to stay on the court in order to keep Roy Williams’ rotations the way he’d like them to be, especially considering the fact that he played just eight players against Alabama.
We hope that you are enjoying your Thanksgiving with family and friends, but also we want you to feel more than welcome to come hang out with us for the game! As always, we will be back following the game to recap anything that you may have missed while eating all of the delicious food that your heart has desired. All I ask in return is that you send me some turkey and some pie in return. That’s not too much to ask, right?
Happy Thanksgiving, and Go Heels!
