UNC vs. NC State: How to watch

Here’s how to check out the Tar Heels go for bowl eligibility against their rival.

NCAA Football: Mercer at North Carolina James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

The UNC-NC State game is always important, but this year has some extra stakes from a Tar Heel perspective.

The Tar Heels come into this game with a 5-6 record, in need of a win to get bowl eligible in Mack Brown’s first season back in Chapel Hill. On the other side, the Wolfpack come in at 4-7 and unable to reach a bowl, but I think we all know they’d love nothing more than trying to keep Carolina a win short.

A win would complete the turnaround after winning a combined five games in the previous seasons. A loss would mean a third straight seasons ends with a defeat to State. So, yeah, things are important.
