The Tar Heels close out their non-conference schedule with a home game against Yale in Chapel Hill this evening. UNC was able to snap their four-game losing streak last Saturday against UCLA, marking a bit of a turning point in what has been a very difficult schedule so far.
Things do get a bit easier for Carolina, but it’s definitely not anything they can afford to get complacent with. Hopefully a strong showing against Yale will serve as a nice spring board into conference play as we count down the games the team will need to play without Cole Anthony being available.
The silver lining in the loss of Anthony has been the emergence of Jeremiah Francis and Anthony Harris. Both have played important roles since Anthony’s injury, and both figure to be important to the team’s overall success moving forward. Having them find a spot sooner rather than later is just an added bonus.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
