Between the Banners 4: UNC/Florida State post-game breakdown

How can we not take some time to chat about Nassir Little being amazing?

NCAA Basketball: Florida State at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday afternoon, the Tar Heels pulled off a convincing win against Florida State 77-59. Nassir Little and Cameron Johnson led the charge for Roy Williams’ team, and the Heels were able to keep the Seminoles’ potent offense in check. This win should help a lot in the AP standings, but more importantly it keeps them in contention for the ACC regular season title, and should get them a step closer to securing favorable seeding in both tournaments.

Following the game, our fearless leader and Managing Editor Tanya Bondurant (@tanyabondurant) was kind enough to join me (@THBBrandon) in the Smith Center to discuss the events that transpired yesterday afternoon. On this post-game episode, we discussed:

-Nassir Little’s first strong performance since he recovered from his injuries.

-Cameron Johnson is still doing Cameron Johnson things, and how thankful we are that he is a Tar Heel.

-The Heels bouncing back in the three-point shooting column during the second half.

-The team’s defensive dominance against the Seminoles.

-What is wrong with Kenny Williams’ shot? Also, how has me managed to turn his struggle into a teaching moment for the younger members on the team?

Come spend some time with us as we break down the game, and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter so that you will be one of the first to know when new episodes post. We are working on getting the show on Apple’s podcast service very soon, so stay tuned!

Go Heels!
