Between the Banners 5: UNC/Syracuse postgame breakdown

Tanya Bondurant and Brandon Anderson talk UNC’s win over Syracuse and sing the praises of Coby White.

NCAA Basketball: Syracuse at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Last night, UNC clinched a double bye in the ACC Tournament with a win over Syracuse. The Tar Heels were paced by Coby White’s career night in which he scored 34 points and hit six threes. Carolina is playing as well as anyone right now, and it has put them in a really good position heading into the most important time of year.

Following the game, I was joined by Tar Heel Blog editor Brandon Anderson to discuss the win and to talk about how we have been founding members of the Coby White Fan Club. On this episode we discuss topics such as:

-Roy Williams is very good against Syracuse

-Coby White is amazing

-The disjointed nature of the game because of the multitude of fouls

-Nassir Little having life’s worst luck with injuries

-We talk a little spicy about Duke losing to Virginia Tech

and more!

Our podcast is finally available on Apple Podcasts, so please subscribe if you haven’t already so that you don’t miss an episode. We plan to keep up with these early reaction podcasts after games throughout the ACC Tournament and beyond, so make sure you have a way of being notified when our latest hot takes drop.
