UNC vs NC State Game Thread

The Tar Heels look for their sixth straight win as they host the Wolfpack.

NCAA Basketball: Virginia Tech at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The machine that is Carolina basketball has been humming right along as of late, as Roy Williams’ teams tend to do this time of year. The shakiness of early on has largely been replaced by a team that has looked better in nearly all facets of the game. UNC is defending better, players like Nassir Little are taking better shots, and Coby White looks like an effective facilitator as the point guard.

NC State comes into the Dean Dome probably feeling like Cersei did as she was walked through the streets of Kings Landing while people yelled “Shame!” over and over. The Wolfpack scored just 24 points in their home loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday, the lowest total of points in the shot clock era. Undoubtedly they will be looking to exorcise some demons from that experience.

Roy Williams absolutely hates State. He hates losing to State more than pretty much any other team. Ideally, his team will be ready to squash any hope of redemption the visitors may have tonight.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
