Last time these two teams met, North Carolina were still reeling in the aftermath of the Louisville loss. Sure, they had beaten Notre Dame at home in the meantime, but that was not their greatest effort either. Then they went into halftime tied with Miami.
Thanks to a big second half effort from Cam Johnson, UNC pulled away and eventually closed out a nine-point win on the road. Since then, the Tar Heels have won four more consecutive games by a combined 71 points. Meanwhile, Miami lost their next four games, and only just snapped that streak by beating Notre Dame during the week.
Three weeks later, the Tar Heels and the Hurricanes will meet again. Will this game continue the recent trends for these two teams? Or, like it seemingly might have been forUNC the first time around, will this be a possibly season-changing moment in the other direction for one of the teams?
