NCAA Tournament: UNC vs Auburn

The Tar Heels and Tigers square off in the Sweet Sixteen

UNC will face their toughest test of the NCAA Tournament so far when they take on Auburn tonight in Kansas City. The Tigers have shot the lights out from distance to get to this point. For Carolina, the keys to victory will be winning the rebounding battle (the Tigers are not a good rebounding team) and defending the perimeter.

It’ll be worth keeping an eye on how much Nassir Little is able to play in tonight’s game. He has been under the weather this week but was seen participating in shoot around at the Sprint Center earlier this afternoon. Little has been instrumental off the bench in the Tar Heels’ first two wins of the tournament.

Auburn is a challenging team, but they struggle with a lot of the things UNC does well. If Carolina can execute on those things and keep the Tigers from obliterating them from beyond the arc, they should be in pretty good shape.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
