There is quite a lot riding on this game.
With a win, UNC will clinch at least a share of the ACC regular season title. They could possibly also win the conference outright and take home the #1 seed in the ACC Tournament. Not to mention, this game will probably be a major decider in whether or not the Tar Heels will get a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
With a loss, Carolina can drop to the #3 seed in the ACC Tournament, and miss out on the ACC regular season title. A defeat could keep them on the #2 line in the NCAA Tournament, and also prevent them from playing the first two round in Columbia. Oh and not to mention, they can sweep Duke with a win.
The major story for most people going into this game will be Zion Williamson, but for all of us here, the big story is that it’s senior night. It will be the final game Luke Maye, Kenny William, and Cameron Johnson play in the Smith Center. This game is a big deal for many reasons.
