One day after his three teammates were drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft, Luke Maye has a professional home. Per this tweet from Carolina Basketball, the All-ACC and All-American has signed a contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
If Luke's college trajectory is any indication, Milwaukee got a good one! Luuuuuuke has signed with the @Bucks. #CarolinaSZN | #NBADraft | @luke_maye pic.twitter.com/8mRkf9AdgR

Details of the contract aren’t known yet, but the Bucks are expected to shuffle their roster this offseason. As of right now, the most notable player that we should see returning for the bucks is the Greek Freak himself Giannis Antetokounmpo. Players from the 2018-19 team that are both restricted and unrestricted free agents include Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brodgen, Pau Gasol, and Brook Lopez, just to name a few. Maye will have at least have an opportunity to earn a roster spot or follow in the footsteps of Theo Pinson in the G-League. Maye is considered a longshot, but 6’8 shooters who can rebound are always a commodity.
Besides, as every UNC fan knows, don’t underestimate Luke.
Kentucky and NC State can confirm that sentiment.
We’ll provide details as they become available.
