This week, the Battle 4 Atlantis bracket was announced. The North Carolina Tar Heels will square up against Alabama in the first round. The Tar Heels tip off on Wednesday, November 27 at 2:30 PM ET. It will be the second of four games that Wednesday in Bahamas.
Along with the Tar Heels and Crimson Tide, the other teams participating include Gonzaga, Iowa State, Michigan, Oregon, Seton Hall, and Southern Miss.
Alabama finished last season 18-16, including a 8-10 record in the SEC. The Tide bowed out in the first round of the NIT in overtime against Norfolk State.
At the conclusion of the season, the program parted ways with their coach Avery Johnson after four seasons. Alabama hired Nate Oats, formerly of the University of Buffalo, the same week of Johnson’s buyout.
The winner of the Carolina-Alabama game will face the victor of Michigan and Iowa State on Thanksgiving. The championship game will be held on Black Friday at 2:00 PM ET.
All games will be televised on the ESPN network.
