Don’t Punt to Gio Ep. 15: Chopping it up with Michael Felder

Come for the Chapel Hill nightlife analysis, stay for the football talk.

Why have we posted four episodes of Don’t Punt to Gio in the past week?

Because when Michael Felder (@InTheBleachers on Twitter) of StadiumTV (@WatchStadium) is available for 45 minutes on a Friday afternoon right on the precipice of college football season, you make it happen.

Felder, for those uninitiated, is an absolute must-follow during college football season. He’s extremely insightful, interactive and blunt while live-tweeting whatever he’s watching. If you catch him outside college football season? Hilarity ensues.

He was also a walk-on defensive back for Carolina from 2003-2007. We talked about that experience, the highs and lows, and, of course, our weekly drinking schedules as Carolina students.

From there, we jumped into Carolina’s schedule, where he dispelled some of our preconceived notions (is Georgia Tech going to be better than we thought?) and closed it out with some spicy takes for the 2019 football season.

This was a fun interview, and I really hope you enjoy it. For more like this, jump on your podcast platform of choice, download, subscribe, leave a glowing review...it helps us pitch taking people’s time (when they’re not as gracious as today’s guest) to join us.
