UNC Basketball: Can the Tar Heels keep The Streak alive against Clemson?

It’s not looking great.

UNC’s streak against Clemson is, ultimately, not important. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a fun footnote more than anything else. However, it’s a fun footnote that I’d like to see continue. Anytime you can be on the good side of some bizarre statistic, keeping it going is better than the alternative.

You don’t get to this point without luck on your side and luck seems to be very against the Tar Heels right now. Adding insult to injury, Carolina will be without Jeremiah Francis for today’s game. Francis is clearly the best point guard option the Heels have with Cole Anthony out, but they’ll have to roll with KJ Smith at the point instead.

It feels like healthy bodies are at a premium for UNC right now and all of those factors combined make it feel like The Streak is in real danger of coming to an end today.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
