“When it rains, it pours” is a phrase that makes me feel very old for some reason, and yet it’s the perfect descriptor of what is going on with Carolina basketball this year. It was announced that Brandon Robinson didn’t make the trip to Virginia Tech due to continued soreness following his car accident after the Clemson game.
Robinson’s health is much, much more important than any basketball game, and the effects of car accidents can linger for so long. It’s unfortunate that someone else’s extremely poor decisions have such wide-ranging impacts on those around them (in this case, Robinson). Don’t drink and drive.
Unfortunately, it’s another tough blow for a team that so badly needs a break. They can’t catch one, except perhaps literally. Something has to go right for them eventually, right? You’d hope so.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
