Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but UNC will be additionally short-handed today against Miami. Freshman point guard Jeremiah Francis will not play today against the Hurricanes, which you would assume has something to do with the nagging knee soreness he’s dealt with the last couple weeks.
Miami isn’t without their own personnel missing, though. Chris Lykes, their tiny but mighty guard, won’t play in today’s game either. Lykes is certainly one of Miami’s best players, so it is a big loss for them.
Carolina is still looking for that first win of 2020. It has been a big uphill climb to find it having lost five in a row and nine of their last 11 games. Hopefully today is the day things turn around. As much as we all need it in order to feel better about the state of things, you know the team needs it even more.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
