It feels kind of weird to have these two teams meet as ranked opponents at noon in late October, but that’s really just the story of 2020. UNC is looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Florida State last week while NC State comes to Chapel Hill on a three-game winning streak after a Week 2 loss to Virginia Tech.
Both teams would love to beat the other and will likely not let the other forget the outcome with this year’s game coming earlier in the season than the Tar Heels and Wolfpack normally meet. One of these teams is probably getting kicked out of the top 25 next week, and hopefully it’s not the guys sporting light blue.
Hopefully all the deficiencies that made their presence known in Tallahassee have been cleaned up in practice this week so that Carolina will be in good shape when it comes to taking care of business at home.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
