AP Top 25 Poll: Week of 11/30

Where are the Heels in this latest editions of the rankings?

NCAA Football: Notre Dame at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Thanks to the weird world we’re all currently living in, the busiest part of the college sports calendar continues on for a little while longer. Usually Thanksgiving weekend means the end of the college football regular season, but this year UNC has two more games to do, including one this coming weekend.

Add in that the men’s basketball team will be playing three times in the Maui Invitation in Asheville, we’ve got a packed week ahead of us. Before all of that starts, let’s take a look at where things are in the AP Polls for this week.

Where is UNC?

After going into the weekend at #25 and then losing, the Tar Heels unsurprisingly fell out of the rankings. That being said, they very nearly didn’t. UNC received just two fewer ranking points than #25 Liberty, making the Heels the unofficial #26.

Biggest Winners

Not much movement at the top of the rankings means there weren’t many big jumps this week. Iowa State and Louisiana tied for the week’s lead by moving up three spots.

Biggest Losers

On the other hand, we do have one big fall. After their loss to rival Oregon State, Oregon took a 12 spot dip, falling to #21.
