UNC vs. Duke: Game Thread

Let’s not lose to another sub-.500 team, ok guys?

Let’s be honest: it feels like it’s been an eternity since Virginia handed UNC a very disappointing loss. Things have been pretty hectic across the country, and so it feels like Carolina hasn’t played in a few weeks now. Well, the wait is over. The Tar Heels will take on the Duke Blue Devils in the annual battle for the Victory Bell.

The Heels are coming off a performance in which we saw Sam Howell tear apart Virginia’s defense, but their own defense had trouble getting stops. On the flip side, Duke has just been, well, bad for lack of a better way to put it. They are coming off of a 53-19 victory against Charlotte, which is only one of their two wins of the season. On paper, this game shouldn’t be interesting even in the slightest. However, we’ve learned over the last few weeks that the Tar Heels aren’t without their deficiencies, so we will have to see if they are able to avoid yet another loss to a sub-.500 opponent.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
