The North Carolina Tar Heels are just moments away from taking on the NC Central Eagles in the Dean Smith Center. The Heels are coming off of back-to-back losses to Texas and Iowa, and look to use this game to get things cleaned up before they take on yet another ranked team in Ohio State. As for NC Central, they are coming off of a loss to Coastal Carolina, and winning this game would get them to an even .500 before they take on SC State in their next game.
While we don’t exactly know what to expect from the Eagles, it will be interesting to see what has gotten cleaned up on the defensive side of the ball for the Tar Heels. Against Iowa there were numerous breakdowns that resulted in getting torched on the perimeter, and so I’m sure that has been a major talking point in practice this week. It will also be interesting to see if RJ Davis and Caleb Love will take any steps forward after struggling mightily against a veteran Hawkeyes team.
As always, we will be back after the game for some postgame analysis. Go Heels!
