UNC Basketball: Kentucky game thread

This year’s CBS Sports Classic was supposed to feature UNC vs Ohio State in a game with revenge on the line from last year’s embarrassing performance in Chapel Hill. This year is weird, however, and The Powers That Be decided this week that UNC would be taking on Kentucky instead.

Revenge is still on the line, though. UNC lost to the Wildcats in the 2018 CBS Sports Classic. Both of these teams are young and trying to figure themselves out early in this weird season. Carolina dropped games to Texas and Iowa but struggled to get going against NC Central. Kentucky has lost their last four games including a one-point loss to Notre Dame and a close contest against Kansas.

Today will be a good test for both squads, and hopefully the Tar Heels can take advantage of a Wildcats team that may not look like many of the Kentucky teams we’re accustomed to seeing.
