After winning two tough games against UNLV and Stanford, the North Carolina Tar Heels are getting set to square off against the Texas Longhorns. As I’m sure a lot of you already know, things have historically went pretty poorly for Roy Williams-led UNC teams against the Longhorns. I am not going to act like I understand it myself, and perhaps none of us will ever understand it. However, this is how things panned out, so let’s hope that this year’s team is up for the challenge.
If the Heels win this game, they will win the Maui Invitational championship and will go into the game against the Iowa Hawkeyes undefeated. Considering the fact that the Hawkeyes are currently the third-best team in the country, I’d say that’s a great position to be in. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though, and instead focus on today’s game. Here is how you can watch all of the action, and if you’re like me, access an alternate way to listen to the game (the real ones know).
