UNC Basketball: NC State Game Thread

Conference play is here.

NCAA Basketball: North Carolina at Kentucky Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Ready or not, here comes ACC play. It’s strange to look at a calendar with wrapped presents still under the tree and have a conference opponent on the schedule for UNC basketball, but that’s the state of college basketball in 2020.

First up are the friends from down the road in Raleigh. Kevin Keatts’ team is 4-1 on the season with their loss coming to Saint Louis last week. They’ve had three games canceled and one postponed in the early going, and last played against Campbell in a 69-50 win.

Carolina’s young squad picked up a feel-good win on Saturday against Kentucky, but the offense has still struggled to find its footing throughout the non-conference slate. There’s no time like the present for that to change, especially when taking on a team that Roy Williams lives to beat.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
