UNC are already coming into this game on a winning streak, having added to the Miami win by knocking off NC State. Then on Friday, we got the exciting news that Cole Anthony will be returning to the court when the Tar Heels take on Boston College.
The freshman point guard has been out since December 8th after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus. Now, the Tar Heel star and prospective high draft pick will hopefully give a boost to a team that is already on a bit of a good trajectory.
As for UNC’s opponent, Boston College did beat Virginia Tech last weekend but otherwise has struggled, going 1-5 since their shock win over a then #18 Virginia. The Eagles come into this game ranked #172 at KenPom, which is directly in between George Mason and La Salle. That’s also four spots ahead of Cal Baptist, who apparently were a Division II school at this point two years ago. This appears to be a good chance for UNC to add another win, but things are always easier said than done with this team.
