UNC Basketball vs Notre Dame: Game Thread

Can the Tar Heels stop their skid on the road?

NCAA Basketball: Virginia at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

UNC basketball finds themselves in the second five-game losing streak of their season to this point. Time has pretty quickly run out on turning things around, so playing for pride becomes the priority at this point. The Tar Heels will be facing an opponent they beat earlier this season in Notre Dame in hopes of getting back in the win column.

Senior Brandon Robinson went through warmups and will give playing a shot tonight. He almost certainly won’t play significant minutes, but having him back is certainly a bit of good news in a season that has seemed significantly void of that.

The nature of close games means any one thing going wrong can be lifted up as the downfall. Recently, it’s been poor free throw shooting, lack of three-point defense, and foul trouble. Hopefully tonight will be a step forward on some of those struggles.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
