UNC Women’s Tennis: Still No. 1 and undefeated

The Tar Heels are undefeated heading into conference play.

After victories over East Carolina and UNC Charlotte, the North Carolina Tar Heels women’s tennis team is 12-0 as conference play begins this weekend.

Carolina retained their No. 1 ranking this week. In addition to this team ranking, UNC has the most ranked singles players and the only team with multiple players ranked in the top ten.

These Tar Heels ranked in the top ten are No. 4 Cameron Morra, No. 5 Alexa Graham, and No. 6 Sara Daavettila.

Additional ranked players include No. 39 Alle Sanford, No. 43 Makenna Jones, No. 81 Kacie Harvey, and No. 111 Elizabeth Scotty.

The Tar Heels have three pairs of ranked doubles teams. These are No. 4 Daavettila/Graham, No. 5 Jones/Morra, and No. 19 Jones/Sanford.

This weekend, UNC makes its Florida tour on the conference schedule, including a Friday match against No. 2 Florida State and a Sunday match versus No. 27 Miami.
