Saturday wasn’t fun. Just when it seemed like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel that has been this season, that light turned out to be a freight train speeding toward us. You do not need me to tell you that things don’t get easier from here.
The Tar Heels travel to Tallahassee tonight to take on Florida State. The Seminoles have been one of the best teams in the conference this year, for whatever that praise is worth in this bizarre season of college basketball. They are currently ranked 8th in the country with just three losses to their name. If there is reason to hope, though, it’s that some less-than-impressive teams have taken down FSU this year. They started the season with a loss against Pittsburgh, lost to Indiana, and lost to Virginia.
One thing those three games had in common? They were all on the road. Tonight they will be inside friendly confines, so upsetting them will take even more than it would otherwise. UNC will have to try to do so without Brandon Robinson who sprained his ankle in the loss to Boston College.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
