The show rolls on another night.

For at least one more night, the UNC basketball season continues. The Tar Heels took care of business in their first game of the ACC Tournament against Virginia Tech, earning the right to face the Syracuse Orange in the second round.

Basketball being played in front of fans with everything going on in the world right now is few and far between with the ACC being one of the only conferences to not ban spectators from the events due to concerns around the coronavirus pandemic. The ACC has announced that fans will not be allowed into games for the remainder of the tournament after today.

Carolina has gotten a particular benefit from the crowd in Greensboro being very pro-Heels. Last night the Greensboro Coliseum felt like Dean Dome West, but tonight will be the last possible game for them to enjoy that benefit. If they make it to tomorrow’s game, the only sounds will be sneakers, the ball bouncing, and the calling of plays.

All of that is an issue for tomorrow, though. Tonight they’ll have to get past Syracuse and the zone. Hopefully they can do just that in order to have to worry about what tomorrow brings.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
