UNC Basketball: Jersey numbers announced for 2020-2021 season

With the roster officially set for the 2020-2021 season, the Carolina basketball team has released the jersey numbers each player will be sporting. Unsurprisingly, all of the returning players will have the same ones they had last year. The arrival of seven freshmen, though, means there will be plenty of new numbers for fans to learn.

The one newcomer left off of that tweet is Creighton Lebo, who is coming to Chapel Hill as a preferred walk-on. Creighton is the son of former Tar Heel great Jeff Lebo, but he’s opted to wear a different number (#25) than his father (#14). Caleb Love, R.J. Davis, Day’Ron Sharpe, and Walker Kessler are each acquiring the jerseys of recently departed Tar Heels (Cole Anthony, Brandon Robinson, Shea Rush, and Jeremiah Francis, respectively). Puff Johnson is another incoming rookie with family ties to Carolina (Cam Johnson) but he also chose to carve his own path by wearing #14 (Cam wore #13).
