UNC Baseball: Dylan Harris Signs with Baltimore

The senior outfielder will go with The O’s.

Dylan Harris, senior center fielder for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2020, signed a free agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

Harris came to UNC as a JUCO transfer from Walters State in Tennessee. In his first season in Chapel Hill as a junior, Harris started all 65 games in centerfield.

In 2020, Harris was poised for a good year. In the 19 games of the 2020 season, Harris led the team in triples, and ranked second on the team in hits, home runs, and stolen bases. His on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and RBIs were good for third on the squad.

In the field, Harris did not have an error in the 19 games of the 2020 season. Check out this catch during UNC’s 6-5 extra innings victory against Purdue in March:
