Welcome to the 2020 edition of college football. The North Carolina Tar Heels kick off the season with Syracuse in the heart of campus at beautiful Kenan Memorial Stadium.
Gameday in Chapel Hill will look very different today. There will be no fans, but UNC Athletics will provide some entertainment before kickoff to the fans at home:
Carolina Football Field Pass presented by Wells Fargo – We’ll take you to Kenan Stadium one hour before the noon kickoff. Watch the Tar Heels prepare for the Orange while the Tar Heel Sports Network sets the scene for the ACC opener from the Woody Durham Radio Booth. The ‘Warm-up with Wells Fargo’ feature will bring you to Chris Smith Field as the Tar Heels warm up. Watch on Facebook.com/TarHeels or Twitter.com/GoHeels and GoHeels.com. Don’t forget to download the GoHeels App for entertainment on the go.
The Tar Heels may have to deal with the elements during the game. Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service:
A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Carolina will sport the timeless blue-blue-white uniform. They worked pretty well in last season’s opener:
