North Carolina ended their two-game losing streak over the weekend thanks to a late Leaky Black bucket, giving them a one-point win over Notre Dame. Tonight, we’ll see if they’ve turned a corner or if the win was a blip for a team that still needs work.
Tonight, the Tar Heels hit the road to try and get back to .500 in conference play when they take on Miami in Coral Gables. The Hurricanes come in at 4-4 and 0-3 in ACC play. They’ve lost their last two games, but did play 8-1 Clemson very close (66-65) last time out. Other than their ACC-Big Ten Challenge win over Purdue (from which they rallied from a big halftime deficit), none of Miami’s win are especially impressive. The Hurricanes are way down at #64 in the KenPom rankings, over 30 sports behind Carolina.
