UNC is back in action tonight down in Miami looking to pick up their second ACC win in a row. The team hasn’t won back-to-back games since they defeated NC Central and Kentucky in consecutive games just before Christmas, which came as a stretch of two wins between two losses on either side.
The Hurricanes will be without one of their leaders in Chris Lykes when they take on the Tar Heels. Lykes is suffering from what he calls the worst ankle sprain he’s ever experienced. Lykes has punished the Heels before and they certainly won’t be sad they are missing him tonight.
Roy Williams has been tinkering with his starting lineups to try and improve the situation on the floor. Day’Ron Sharpe has been a big beneficiary of that, putting up a season high in points as he dragged the team to a narrow win against Notre Dame their last time out.
As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
